THE TEAM

At Be Well Psychotherapy, we are fortunate to work alongside a team of 8 therapists. Each therapist brings something remarkable to the center. Be Well's Owner, Lauren Taibi, has worked with each therapist for over a decade, in various capacities and organizations. Together, at Be Well, we have opportunities to collaborate and grow. Our team allows families to receive care all in one center. It is a humbling experience to be able to work alongside dedicated and qualified professionals!

Maria is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. Maria has clinical experience working in the mental health field helping individuals cope with everyday challenges. Maria has experience working with clients who suffer from severe mental illness, individuals in crisis, clients experiencing anxiety, self esteem issues, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss.Each client is uniquely different, thus, all therapy modalities used in session are distinct in order to meet each client's personal goals. Some modalities used by Maria are Mindfulness,Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology and Psychodynamic approach.

Maria Carputo and I met through our volunteer work for Contact We Care, a caring and crisis hotline through National Suicide Prevention, during Graduate school at Caldwell University. Maria brings extensive clinical knowledge from her experience working in Intensive Outpatient settings. Maria’s strong clinical background is unmatched with her compassion. She is devoted to providing up to date, researched based psychotherapy services, while ensuring each client feels cared for and actively listened to. Maria’s passion for mental health is witnessed each day. Maria creatively incorporates tools to support clients in between sessions. She has added to her education through an ongoing EMDR coursework. Through the selection of evidenced based psychotherapy interventions, Victoria establishes a therapeutic relationship and rapport with clients utilizing empathy and compassion, meeting them where they are in their therapeutic and wellness journey. 
Using a person-centered approach, Victoria assists those suffering with depression, anxiety, trauma related disorders, mood disorders, and couples/marital/relationship issues by establishing unique and individualized treatment goals. These goals are to ensure that each client meets their biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
Victoria utilizes the application of art materials, clinical art therapy methods, and assessments for client’s interested in incorporating art therapy into their treatment.
Victoria also has experience working in the Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Care Hospitalization (PCH/PCP), in the school setting, Residential and Substance Abuse Treatment levels of care with children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults.
In her free time, Victoria enjoys creating her own art work, spending time with family/friends/her dog Otis, traveling, and being in nature.

Victoria Faljean and I met during her graduate school work while serving clients through an administrative role at a private practice around 2015. Victoria’s experience with Intensive Outpatient clients support the needs of our clients at Be Well Psychotherapy. Victoria navigated services during pandemic with grace and devotion. Victoria displays exemplary commitment to care for our clients, especially with connecting in between sessions for thoughtful check-ins. This added support is a meaningful service to her clients, and aligns naturally with our mission. Victoria brings her exceptional art therapy credentials to enhance her sessions, as needed. Cornelia Sherman, LCSW

Cornelia works with a variety of clients who seek therapy for issues related to depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, health issues and general life challenges. She fosters an empathetic and caring atmosphere where the client is able to explore and share their thoughts, feelings, and observations about what they are experiencing and how they want to create positive changes. Each client is unique, so she draws upon different methods and techniques to ensure that each person's needs are met. Treatment modalities that are used in session include: Psychodynamic and Relational theories, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Psychoeducation. Cornelia actively seeks to help you understand how you can best improve an issue that is troubling to you in a timely fashion that creates space for thoughtfulness as well. She has been in practice for over 15 years and has specialized training in maternity and adolescences, as well as issues specific to senior citizens.

​ Cornelia and I met in December 2019 during the first expansion of Be Well Psychotherapy’s team. Cornelia's background, education and clinical experience is a tremendous asset to our community. As a licensed counselor in the state of New Jersey, Victoria has clinical experience in the mental health field. Victoria has experience with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma.  Modalities and techniques used for sessions are accommodated to what the client needs but range from a combination of person centered and solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and a mindfulness based approach. Victoria's goal is to create a safe and accepting space for all of her clients to feel comfort and ease. Victoria looks to work with her clients to process and identify their emotions, work on relational issues, improve their communication skills, and build on empowerment such as self worth and self love. ​

Victoria Mapura and I met during a mentorship experience in 2014. I’ve had the opportunity to observe Victoria in different settings from the start of her career in Mental Health. One thing remains certain, Victoria’s ability to show genuine care to each person she encounters, is admirable, and a true gift. Victoria exemplifies the skills of an active listener and exceeds the standards of our mission at Be Well Psychotherapy. Victoria continues to develop the importance of ongoing learning through her commitment to psychoeducation reading. Her knowledge of the Mental Health field and research based trends remains current, and is shared with her clients to compliment her sessions. Victoria successfully captures the needs of her clients. When working with family members, Victoria develops treatment plans and goals that can be shared with the client’s family members to support the needs of the client. Victoria devotes her time to enriching herself, through active reading, podcasts and education opportunities. This enrichment is a gift to be shared with her clients and our community. Gina M. Conner, MA LAC

Gina brings compassion and clinical expertise to Be Well Psychotherapy. As a Licensed Associated Counselor, she actively listens to her clients working toward goals. Gina provides her clients with resources and ensures utilizing up to date techniques. She has years of experience in the field, working in both clinical and educational settings. She has experience with children, adolescents, and adults, in an individual, group, family, or couple setting. She utilizes an approach that is client-centered, culturally aware, and trauma-informed. Gina uses a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy.

Gina Conner and I met in 2015 when in our motherhood roles. Gina and I quickly connected with our shared passion for mental health and balancing family. Throughout our colleague relationship at Be Well Psychotherapy, Gina demonstrates detailed attention to the mission of our center. Her skills, education and experience exceeds the standards of a counselor. Gina is always compassionate and eagerly incorporates tools into each of her sessions to support treatment goals/plans. Gina's extensive experience in the field is an ongoing asset to her work with our clients at Be Well.  Gina's devotion to the care of her clients is admirable. She provides research based and up to date methods in the field of mental health. Gina's ability to show genuine care to each client, is a true gift! Gina's clinical qualities are admirable.

​Sofia Neves-Gilcher, MA, LPC

Sofia creates a safe and inviting environment through her ability to meet her patients where they are holistically.  Through her experience of connecting the mind, body and spirit, she helps her patients find balance by learning to identify their emotions and improve their inner relationship using Mindfulness, Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. Sofia also uses EMDR and Inner Child Work techniques to address trauma based symptoms.  Sofia specializes in anxiety, depression, communication, organization skills and goal setting.

Sofia Neves-Gilcher and I met in 2011 while providing enrichment services for students at an elementary school. During the start of our colleague relationship, Sofia was the epitome of a dedicated professional. Sofia always demonstrated attentiveness and commitment to meaningful moments for each person she encountered. At Be Well Psychotherapy, Sofia consistently offers the same remarkable care for her clients. Utilizing writing as a tool, Sofia crafts newsletters about various mental health topics for her clients, and our community to use as a resource outside of session. In addition to this resource, Sofia compiles useful tools for clients to incorporate between sessions. Sofia commits to continued learning about the field and often shares applicable resources to our team for us to further share with our community. Sofia is devoted to providing researched based, up to date methods in the mental health field. Sofia regularly devotes her time to enriching herself. This commitment is a gift to her clients and our community. She has added to her education through an ongoing EMDR coursework. Sofia offers expertise working with the college student population. A note of reflection from our Director, Lauren F. Taibi - Dave and I met in December 2019 during the first expansion of Be Well Psychotherapy’s team. Dave brings extensive knowledge from his experience in the psychiatric emergency department . Dave is an avid reader, eager to share a new book, to support the work, and themes, of his clients. Likewise, Dave is enthusiastic to offer a recommendation for a topic in need, for his clients, and our team. Dave’s ability to incorporate film, media and literature to make meaningful connections during therapy is remarkable. He offers this knowledge to our team as well. Dave is committed to seeking feedback during weekly team meetings to benefit his work with his clients.
